Marcel Jonte is an American CEO and Pastor abiding in Tokyo, Japan who is an expert communicator and motivational speaker to all nationalities and ages of people and has gained a unique perspective on life, relationships and living your purpose. Pastor Marcel Jonte was born in Kamp Lintford, Germany and traveled the world through his father's military career and arrived in Japan in July of 1999.

Moving to Tokyo was a challenge for Marcel as he didn't understand the Japanese culture nor the language. However, through a passion to communicate with the Japanese people, Marcel challenged himself to learn and become fluent in the language. This translated into him serving over ten years as a graphic artist and advertising sales consultant for various companies throughout Tokyo and would later challenge him to reinvent himself to work as a cashier at a Japanese 7 Eleven store as well as teaching at an international preschool.

All of these opportunities aided Marcel to become more familiar with Japan and the Japanese people which eventually led him to become a CEO and Pastor. Pastor Marcel studied for several years under the tutelage of overseeing Bishop, the late Bishop Nathaniel Holcomb of the Christian House of Prayer (CHOP) in Killeen Texas and earned his Pastorate in 2017. He and his wife Chiaki founded Japan Kingdom Church when he was just 29 years old in Fussa city of west Tokyo. Their first service was held in his living room by gathering everyday people from the streets.

In that same year, in the attempt to combine all his business ideas and community outreach projects, Pastor Marcel and his wife Chiaki founded Japan Kingdom Builders, Inc which holds Japan Kingdom Church, Zoe Daytree International Preschool, Zoe Kids Saturday English Program, Gospel Connection Music School in 5 locations, an Event Rental Studio and the Akiramenai Homeless Rehabilitation Program.

In addition, Pastor Marcel is the author of his first book “The Reason Why I Am Black: The Love Challenge” which he teaches how true love is revealed in not only what we have in common but what makes us different and unique. Learn more here
